New York Trip Itinerary — Five Days Plus a Wedding Weekend (Sep 29 – Oct 8, 2026)
This is a day-by-day New York City itinerary built for a first week in the city, anchored around a Saturday morning wedding at the Church of the Transfiguration. The five itinerary days
- Day 1 — Midtown: Central Park from Grand Army Plaza to Bethesda Fountain, Bow Bridge, the 74th Street lake, and the Annie Hall bench at the 96th Street terrace; then the New York Public Library Schwarzman Building, Times Square, the Paris Theater on West 58th Street and The Plaza.
- Day 2 — Upper East & Upper West: The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Museum Mile, the Guggenheim, The Pierre on East 61st Street, Lincoln Center, sunset in Central Park, then Bemelmans Bar at the Carlyle.
- Day 3 — Downtown: Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island ferry from Castle Clinton, the Financial District (Wall Street, Trinity Church, 9/11 Memorial and the Oculus), Washington Square Arch, 90 Bedford Street (the Carrie Bradshaw building), West Village cobblestone lanes, the East Village, and the Queensbridge Park benches for the skyline at night.
- Day 4 — Brooklyn: Williamsburg vintage and design shops on North 6th Street, Jane's Carousel and the Washington Street bridge view in DUMBO, the Williamsburg East River waterfront at dusk, and a Broadway musical.
- Day 5 — Midtown highlights: Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal's painted ceiling and Oyster Bar, MoMA, Fifth Avenue shopping, and the Empire State Building at sunset.
