Day 1 — Osaka core: Castle, Dotonbori, Kuromon
Slow first day. Castle in the morning, Kuromon for lunch, Dotonbori at night.
Seven days based in Osaka is a full Kansai exploration. You get all four day-trip destinations (Kobe, Himeji, Nara, Kyoto) plus one stretch destination (Wakayama, Koyasan, or a coastal escape), with two days left in Osaka itself for the food, the castle, and the unhurried mood the city deserves.
